ARRL Field Day is always held on the 4th full weekend in June.

Objective:
To contact as many stations as possible on the 160, 80, 40, 20,15 and 10 Meter HF bands, as well as all bands 50 MHz and above, and to learn to operate in abnormal situations in less than optimal conditions.
Field Day is open to all amateurs in the areas covered by the ARRL/RAC Field Organizations and countries within IARU Region 2.

We hold our monthly technical committee meeting on the first Tuesday of the month. Start time is 19:00 hrs (7:00 P.M.).
The general meeting is held on the fourth Thursday of the month at the same location. Start time is 19:30 hrs (7:30 P.M.)
The meeting location is at Kelowna Fire Department, Station 1 on 2255 Enterprise Way in Kelowna. Entrance is from the parking lot (North) side.
The Amateur Radio Service offers a unique mix of public service, technology and experimenting with electronics all with an emphasis on fun. Some hams use their skills to provide communications during emergencies and disasters when other forms of communication fail.
Others enjoy talking to people across the country and around the globe, participating in contests and building experiments.

The Orchard City Amateur Radio Club is incorporated under the Societies Act of British Columbia in 1971.
OCARC is centered in the city of Kelowna in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia. With over 65 members, our amateur radio club provides volunteer communications for events throughout the region. Club members are active in every facet of the hobby and they maintain several analog, digital, VHF & UHF mountain top repeaters.
