Field Day is scheduled from 18:00 UTC Saturday to 20:59 UTC Sunday June 27 & 28.  (local time: 11:00 am Saturday to 1:59 pm Sunday).  We plan to start at 18:00 UTC (11:00am)  on Saturday and  go as long as is practical.  It is not likely that we will  be able to operate for the entire time as we will not have the ability to camp overnight at the station.  None the less, we feel the Club members will gain from participating in the event.

So we can gauge participation please let us know if  you are planning to come out by emailing us at ocarcmail@gmail.com.  In the email, let us know when and approximately what hours you would like to attend and whether you would like to operate the club station and or log contacts using our computer system.

The next general meeting which will take place ONLINE using the clubs Jitsi conferencing system. (Similar to zoom but privately hosted on our servers).

Jitsi is quite simple to use. You do NOT require a video camera and you can turn yours off if you are shy.

We will be standing by in the conference starting at 18:30 to give members time to work out any kinks they may have in there setup before we call the meeting to order at 19:30.

We will also be broadcasting this conference live on YouTube for members that may not be able to use jitsi, You can find the live stream at https://www.ocarc.ca/live (You may see us testing today with some repeater audio if you are lucky).

This is ultimately a trial run for the AGM that will take place next month so it is important that we try to have as many in attendance as possible.

If you have discussion topics that you would like on the agenda please email them to secretary@ocarc.ca ahead of time.
